Gene Leone II is an American musician and teacher who has spent his life helping to grow the music and arts community. A jazz rooted guitarist by trade he also plays bass, piano, Hammond Organ and the baritone saxophone. His unique style is a culmination of jazz, blues, R&B, reggae, gospel, funk and pop influences. Gene founded The Varsity Co-ed Jazz Guild of Fairfield County (a non-profit organization) in 2006 and has booked and played thousands of gigs providing music education and opportunity for hundreds of young musician as well as the underprivileged and mentally challenged. Gene was the recipient of the prestigious Hannah Coker Music Scholar Award in 2008.
