PIANO/COMPOSITION

Katarzyna is a Polish-Australian pianist, composer, arranger, band leader and producer. Fusing improvisation, modern jazz,
classical and film score influences, she creates emotional and ornate listening experiences for screen, performance and recording projects.

Kat has been a part of the music industry for fifteen years, working as collaborator and leader in live performance, media and
recording projects. Her music has made waves locally and internationally, gaining support from Bandcamp Weekly (US), Gilles Peterson on BBC6 (UK), Tsubaki FM (Japan), and Neo FM (Germany).

Her album From a Distance was featured in The Guardian’s Best 10
Contemporary Albums by John Lewis. Kat has led multiple ensembles performing her original music; collaborated with local artists and was commissioned to create music for a few independent games (Gubbins; Draculesti).

Kat is currently focused on performing and launching her new album Odessa recorded by her quintet project in 2024 (to be released).
