Kate Pengelly is a talented soprano based in Melbourne, having recently completed her Bachelor of Music (Honours) at the Melbourne Conservatorium of Music in 2025, receiving a High Distinction for her final recital.

With a rich background in piano and voice, she has been recognised with numerous accolades and awards, including the Goethe Institute scholarship for an intensive course in Germany in 2019.

Kate has gained valuable experience performing with Victorian Opera's Emerging Artists productions and has participated in the MCM Art Song Festival.

Currently, she is thrilled to be a Rising Artist with the Australian Contemporary Opera Company and a member of Opera Scholars Australia for 2025.

In addition to her performance career, Kate has had considerable experience as a tutor including private teaching in piano and singing, as a group teacher at Stage School Australia teaching Music Theatre, and as a conductor of choirs. 

She finds much joy in guiding her students and watching them develop their skills and confidence in music.
