Margot Petrie is a French Australian vocalist & improviser, who explores jazz and contemporary music.

Margot has been teaching piano & voice privately for over two years in the bayside area and works with children and young adults, tutoring voice in all styles, piano, solfège and musicianship.

She is currently studying a Bachelor of Music Performance in Jazz Voice at the Victorian College of the Arts, under Michelle Nicolle. In 2023, she received the Mabel Kent scholarship and most recently granted the prestigious Generations In Jazz Vocal Scholarship.

Margot is an active member of the Melbourne music scene, regularly performing with her jazz quartet and more recently with her art rock/electronica band. She has performed alongside premiere jazz musicians James Sherlock, Helen Svoboda, Brett Williams, Sandy Evans and Sam Anning.
